Photo Collage Maker - CollageFactory Free App Reviews

This app was just what I needed to finish my portfolio (-: Love it and it’s so easy to use.

Every time I insert a photo it makes it blurry and out of focus. Maybe I am doing something wrong but if not, I sure dont like this program.

I’m unable to “find” completed pictures. Only useful within certain perimeters.

I can’t quit the app or open it. because of that I even can’t restart or shut down my Mac please help!!!

I needed a decent collage app to put together a presentation of photos into a photo format. I was having trouble changing the size of the individual photo slots in other apps. This app was so much easier to use!!

Thankfully, this was free. It didn’t crash but it was slow. But I can’t get the hours I spent scanning oversized historical documents and lining them up in this program only to save it 3 different ways as blank images. Maybe you’d have to upgrade to actually save or use what you painstakingly create? No response to emails to CollageFactory :(

This is a basic photo collage app/program. It works fairly well with iPhoto. I have not used all of the options, yet, such as the shuffle option or the add text option, and the only collage option I have used is the grid pattern. A plus is that you are not locked into a specific grid pattern you can add or subtract collumns and rows, but if you have your photos in the grid and want to change the pattern, then you have to hit undo until the photos are unloaded from the grid. I gave this app 3 stars for several reasons: first of all you have to go online to get some help, but its really pretty self-explanitory. Not all of the options listed are available in the free version, such as rotate, raise, lower, resize, etc… But the thing that really bugs me is I can’t tell what size it is going to print until I try to print it, there doesn’t seem to be any way to change the page size. The paper size gives you options like 800x800(1:1) or 1200x1600(3:4), which means absolutly nothing to me. It could be pixels per inch, or DPI, or something else for that matter, it doesn’t tell you - not even on the help page. I would assume that the (1:1) part of it is a ratio of some sort, but even that isn’t clear; and even if you choose a different option than the default size, it doesn’t change the image quality or the size of the photos or paper size. If you don’t care about any of that, then it works just fine. I think the free version still needs a great deal of work.

Basic collage app. Saves in its own “collage” program but can be exported in other forms. Simple, fast, straightforward. No complaints.

Looking to do a side by side comparison of two things. I keep dragging a portrait photo into a portrait frame and it comes in as landscape… well one does… the other comes in just fine… but I can not rotate the actual picture!!!

Fun application. Love it for posting on Facebook. Pictures look so professional and app is easy.

Finally I have found a program that works with IPhoto on my Mac Book Pro:) Have been reviewing MANY and this seems to be the one! Easy to use & nice selection of layouts for photo collages. Just wanted a simple version so I could collage pictures BEFORE I posted them on FaceBook. It also gives you the option to write text in the collage. GREAT look if appropriate:) Many use cell phones to create collages to post on FB but I don’t. I take pictures with my digital 35 mm Nikon, upload to IPhoto, edit & now I can group a small cluster of favorites into a collage. THANK YOU COLLAGE FACTORY!!! You were just what I was looking for. I rated 4+ stars because I have used you only twice. Today I posted my 1st collage on Facebook and have received many compliments on the look. I will be happy to promote Collage Factory to others:) Thank you!!!

Love it, so easy to use

love everything about the app, but the fact that you can’t adjust the zoom is horrible. I am not even sure, maybe you can somehow but after trying to figure out for 10 minutes I gave up.

I’ve tried these kinds of apps in the past with difficulty; this one works very well! Adding photos works well, and adding text works especially well! Really! It may be necessary to reduce some larger photos prior to importing them into the app, especially if they are landscape style in a portrait frame, but that’s to be expected. I created a nice montage in minutes of some church functions with text that look more like brochures! Nice! Note to developer- See if you can figure out a way to adjust the size of the frame a bit to compemsate for the odd size photo….that would be great!!!!!

The app is wonderful for a beginner. Would recommend it to anyone!

Needed it to create a collage on a macbook pro. I couldn’t rotate my photos or delete once put in the collage. The controls were pictured but did nothing. Not using this program again!

I downloaded this app to use when making a movie for my preschool classes. It works well, many choices to try for great collages. I am very plesed with the results.

I was looking for something quick and easy to use to create a collage project when I came across this app… it actually turned out to be better than expected… very easy to learn and included nice functions for a free version… good set of templates, plus the free style lets your own creativity show… my finished products turned out great and printed very nicely and I have received lots of complements on my work…. if not for the price, I would have upgraded to the full version. Definitely worth a try.
